Local Faith Communities
"Hope Works was established in 1973 as the Street Ministry of West Hartford, by several local faith communities as the collective response to a crisis of meaning and spirit for many young people.
We strongly value our interfaith roots. Many local communities of faith support our work financially and by participating in our annual Mum Sale. We engage with many congregations through their interaction with their youth groups, speaking to adult groups and support of clergy."

TV Programs
Monthly Television Show
HopeWorks produces a monthly television show for West Hartford Community Television. We usually produce shows in a series related to a common theme. In 2007, we produced five shows on the topic of "Taming the College Frenzy" and five shows on "Alternatives to Violence". In 2008 we examined at how young people can find their niche in a series titled "Creating Communities within our Community". We also did a five-part series on Girl-to Girl Aggression and another series on Diversity. Our Fall 2009 series will examine curiosity. We will speak to teachers, students and lifelong learners.
November Television Show
Please join host Cruger Phillips and her guests West Hartford Public School teachers Jeanne Pascon and Michele Hadlock as they explore the gift of curiousity.
