What's New Current News Click here to read our December '09 newsletter.   SAVE THE DATE: FEBRUARY 6, 2010   The Tenth Annual Mayors Charity Ball was held on February 7th, 2009 at The Hartford Golf Club.  Over 300 guests enjoyed an evening which celebrated our wonderful community. Emcee John O'Hurley did a masterful job evoking the qualities which make West Hartford a truly special place. One of the highlights of the evening was a performance by Mayor Scott Slifka and former Mayors Jonathan Harris, Rob Bouvier, Kevin Sullivan and Katie Reynolds. Each donned a top hat and danced their hearts out to lyrics written especially for the evening about the joys and perils of being the Mayor. We thank our partner, The Grounds, for their cameraderie and collaboration. Most importantly, we thank all who attended and our many sponsors and auction donors for their wonderful support.

 

Mum Sale 2009

Many, many thanks to the West Hartford communities of faith and their members for their ongoing support of the Mum Sale. Despite the gentle drizzle we had an outpouring of volunteer support to sort and deliver over 2500 mums. The sale of the mums raised over $9,000 to support counseling, education and outreach services.
